Michael D. Anderson

August 26, 2009
Island Reporter, Captiva Current, Sanibel-Captiva Islander

Michael David Anderson passed away on Aug. 21 on Sanibel Island. He was 53.

Anderson spent his childhood and early adult years in Michigan and moved in 1986 to Florida where he lived in Fort Myers, and the past five years on Sanibel Island.

Devoted to his "home team" the Detroit Tigers, Michael was an avid baseball fan and he coached Little League baseball and softball for 20 years in Southwest Florida. More recently, he enjoyed playing on the Sanibel "old man" league and umpiring week-night softball.
