On Wednesday, Oct. 7, SCCF's monthly policy programs return on a new day with a new name, "Policy Matters."
This season we have moved our "First Mondays" program from the first Monday to the first Wednesday of each month, beginning at 10 a.m. in the Nature Center auditorium, located at 3333 Sanibel-Captiva Road on Sanibel. The programs are free.
These informal, interactive programs, presented by SCCF Natural Resource Policy Director Rae Ann Wessel, cover different topics that impact the islands. On Oct. 7, Wessel will provide a "U.S. Sugar and Water Quality Update," noting recent developments in the purchase of U.S. Sugar land and water quality issues. She will also recap recent and upcoming meetings and events of note, and there is plenty of time for questions and answers.

"Policy Matters" is held on the first Wednesday of the month at 10 a.m. in the SCCF Nature Center auditorium, located at 3333 Sanibel-Captiva Road on Sanibel. These programs are free and open to the public; no reservations are required.
