March 11, 2010
Island Reporter, Captiva Current, Sanibel-Captiva Islander

A class called "Introduction to Facebook" will be taught on Friday, March 19 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Sanibel Civic Center (aka Senior Center), located on the corner of Library Way and Palm Ridge Road.

Facebook is about sharing. Last December, it crossed the 350 million worldwide active user milestone. If Facebook were a country, it would now have the third largest population in the world!

Join Susan Hanna to learn about social networks with a focus on Facebook. Learn to create your profile, find and chat with friends, share pictures and links and find popular games. Important issues like security and privacy are also covered. Fees involved.

Call the Senior Center at 472-5743 for more details.

Also, a class called "Intermediate Facebook" will be held on Friday, March 26 from 1 to 3 p.m.

Participants must have taken "Introduction to Facebook" or have a Facebook account set-up to attend. Instructor Susan Hanna will take you deeper into the ins and outs and answer all of your questions. Fees involved.

Call the Senior Center at 472-5743 for additional details.

The Sanibel Recreation Center is located at 3880 Sanibel-Captiva Road. Daily, weekly and annual memberships are available. For more information, call the Rec Center at 472-0345 or visit www.mysanibel.com.
