Frank Rosen

Frank Rosen passed away on April 18, 2010 with his wife, Bird, and his children - Rene and Mark, Eric and Rebecca - by his side,

Born Aug. 9, 1921, Frank lived a full and meaningful life. He was the founder and president of a manufacturing company in Mansfield, Ohio. When he retired in 1977, he and Bird moved to Sanibel, where Frank co-founded the Sanibel Bike Club. He was a volunteer at the J.N. "Ding" Darling National Wildlife Refuge and served as a mentor at the Fort Myers Marine Institute.

As a member of the international Service Corps, dedicated to helping industry in third world countries, he served in Mombasa, Kenya and in Jamaica. Frank was most proud of his service as a radio operator on a B-24 in the South Pacific during World War II.

He was a quiet man who will be remembered as an avid biker, an experienced sailor, a master craftsman, a worthy friend and a loving husband and father.
