Daniel Karl Poshek, 44, of Sanibel passed away Saturday, May 22, 2010.
Born in Pasadena, Calif. on March 18, 1966 to James and Patricia Poshek, Daniel was a graduate of Michigan State with a Bachelor of Science in Packaging Engineering; he received a second BS from Florida State in Computer Science. He attended Boy’s State in Indiana and was a member of Delta Chi Fraternity.
Daniel was employed at a software company for 14 years and, most recently, at Winds. His hobbies included painting, windsurfing, biking, skiing, fishing and rollerblading.
Daniel was a good, kind, loving and honest person and will be deeply missed by his family and friends. A member of St. Isabel's Catholic Church on Sanibel, Daniel is survived by his parents and brothers — Jaime and Kevin — and sister — Kimberly — plus numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
There will be a funeral mass at St. Isabel’s Catholic Church on Saturday, June 12 at 10 a.m. The family suggests donations in Danny’s memory be made to St. Isabel’s, 3559 Sanibel-Captiva Road, Sanibel, FL 33957.
