Pleased with changed position

To the editor,



I was pleased to read that you had changed your position concerning the proposed Shared Use Path expansion and changes to Dunlop Road being considered.



I do believe that it is a wise move of council in the best interest of Sanibel to keep

that area non-urban, without more disturbance of wildlife and plant life. It is a peaceful entrance to City Hall, BIG Arts, the Historical Village and the Library without being threatened by speeding cars. The police chief has stated that these have not been accidents in this area.



As a user and of all these organizations and as a bike rider, I would like to see part of the proposed $400,000 cost of redevelopment used to improve bicycle facilities elsewhere on the island.
