Help two boys help manatees

May 25, 2011

To the editor,

On behalf of two of our students, and a bunch of sweet manatees, I would like to ask you for some help.

Two young men from Pennsylvania are trying to help manatees in Florida. One of them, Justin Roach, is a Sanibel Sea School student. These guys are trying to help manatees by raising money to donate to the Save The Manatees Trust Fund.

Their goal is to raise $1,000 to donate to the State of Florida Save The Manatees Trust Fund. Sanibel Sea School has agreed to match their donations up to $200. So far, they have raised nearly $700, so they only need a little help.

If you are like Justin and Ted and love manatees, or if you are willing to help a couple of courageous young men reach their goal, please go to this project's website — www.crowdrise.com/helptimandjustinhelp/fundraiser/sanibelseaschoolinc — check out their project and make a donation.

I believe that together, we can help them help manatees.

J. Bruce Neill, Ph.D.

Executive Director, Sanibel Sea School
