Beachview Men's Golf Association played two events last week.
A very modified stableford event on April 7 (1 point for a bogey, 2 points for a par, 3 points for birdie, 4 points for an eagle) was won by Fred Zimmer, Wayne Turner and Dick Chocol. They threesome played well but also have to thank Guy Tober, who had a great game and was the blind draw for any threesomes.
Their final score with Tober filling in on the scorecard was 167. In second place were Jim Mulka, Bob Cushman and Roger Cogswell. They also had a good round and were rewarded with Tober as their blind draw for a score of 166. In third was a real foursome of Bill Stell, Gus Young, David Wright and Jerry Mader, who turned in a score of 157.
Winners on April 7, from left, were Dick Chocol, Wayne Turner, Fred Zimmer.
A two-man best ball event on April 3 was won by "Dead-eye Dick" Cordair and new BMGA president Jerry Mader. They wound up with a net score of 50.
In second place were Bob Richlin and Dave Lewis with a score of 52. Third place with a 56 went to Dick Waterhouse and Ralph Barton.
