For fathers of all ages looking to get out and do something this weekend, two Cape Coral facilities are offering specials for them to enjoy with the family.
Sun Splash Family Waterpark and Coral Oaks Golf Course are each marking Father's Day weekend with a buy one, get one free special. Dads get into the park for free with the purchase of a child ticket, or an adult one for teens.
The course is offering buy one, get one vouchers to fathers who play during the weekend at regular rates. The vouchers are valid June 18 to Sept. 30.
"In celebration of Father's Day weekend, we wanted to do something special for dad and encourage people to come out and enjoy the park and have some bonding time," Michelle Dean, of the Parks and Recreation Department, said.
The park will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and Sunday.
"It's a great family orientated attraction," she said.

While the park has offered dads specials before, the course has not.
"You know, we're having a successful season and a successful summer, started some new leagues," Tim Allen, manager at Coral Oaks, said. "If we have an opportunity to create new customers, then that's a good thing."
He noted that he enjoys playing golf with his son on Father's Day.
"Any opportunity to spend time with your son or daughter, get some exercise and some sun, it's a great thing," Allen said.
Fathers will be eligible for prizes at the facilities this weekend.
The park will raffle off more than $1,000 worth of prizes that include a three-day, two-night stay at The Resort at Marina Village, tickets to Regal Cinemas, a $250 gift certificate for Bass Pro Shops, kayaking for four at Tarpon Point Marina and rounds of golf at the Coral Oaks Golf Course.
"So, a whole bunch of great stuff," Dean said.
The course will raffle off a prize package valued at more than $200. It includes a free round for two, a Coral Oaks hat and shirt, and a dozen golf balls. Members and non-members with a paid tee time can sign up to win.
"That's for any dad who plays," Allen said.
He noted Friday that today and Sunday are expected to be busy.
"People are coming in, asking about it and getting times booked," he said.
Dean expects the park's turnout to be a reflection of the weather.
"The weather and forecast look great this weekend, so we're expecting a great turnout," she said. "If it's sunny outside, we get a lot better turnout."
Coral Oaks Golf Course is at 1800 N.W. 23rd Ave.
Tee times daily beginning at 7 a.m., as well as golf instruction, leagues, tournaments, special outings, golf associations and membership options.
Coral Oaks features an 18-hole Arthur Hills-designed championship course built in a century-old oak hammock and TifEagle greens. Allen said the course has a great layout. In July, it will have been owned by the city for 25 years.
"It's challenging and fun," he said of the course.
