The 8th annual Island Paws Howl-O-Ween Party at Sanibel's Over Easy Cafe on Friday, Oct. 26, will benefit the Lee County Animal Care Trust Fund.

The Animal Care Trust Fund, established in 2002 to assist homeless, abused and neglected animals, provides funds for direct assistance and programs to improve animal care and welfare. Some of the programs include spay/neuter and basic veterinary care for pets of low income owners, adoption assistance, and a Community Pet Pantry. All donations are tax-deductible.

For a $10 donation attendees and their dogs can mingle with friends while consuming puptails and yappetizers, and enter their pets in the annual costume contest to win prizes. The event will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on the patio of the Over Easy Cafe, 630 Tarpon Bay Road.

Organizers welcome the support of local businesses and individuals interested in donating silent auction items. For more information call (239) 533-9202.
