The Everglades Region Florida Chapter of the Club Managers Association of America (CMAA)will make dreams come true for local children at its 15th annual Charity Classic Gala and Golf Tournament on Oct. 28-29.
Proceeds from the event will benefit Barbara's Friends - The Children's Hospital Cancer Fund. The organization, which has been raising funds for children in the Southwest Florida community for many years, upped the ante last year when members committed to raise $500,000 for The Children's Hospital of Southwest Florida "Gift of a Lifetime" Capital Campaign within the next five years.
Since its inception in 1998, the Charity Classic has raised more than $1.12 million for children in Lee and Collier counties.
This two-day event, which kicks off at Grey Oaks County Club in Naples, provides an opportunity for the host clubs to showcase their capabilities. As such, guests should expect a superb presentation of heavy hors d'oeuvres and cocktails, entertainment, and live and silent auctions.
The event continues with a Golf Tournament at West Bay Beach and Golf Club in Estero on Oct. 29. The tournament features a shotgun start and includes a continental breakfast and on-course refreshments. Cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and awards will be presented following play.
Golf and Gala ticket packages include eight Gala tickets and a golf foursome for $1,600. Individual Gala tickets are $100 per person.
The Children's Hospital of Southwest Florida "Gift of a Lifetime" Capital Campaign seeks to raise $125 million for construction of a new state-of-the-art pediatric medical facility on the grounds of HealthPark Medical Center in south Fort Myers. The new facility will house 128 beds (with expansion capabilities to 160 beds) and many new specialty services to help treat and heal the most critically ill children and their families.
