To the Editor,
I just wanted to say THANK YOU to Island Pizza for the donation of pizzas on Election Day to those of us who waited 4 1/2 hours (at times in pouring rain) to vote at a precinct with only one scanner and an eight-page ballot stuffed with amendments.
Thank you also to the intrepid poll workers and to all voters who hung in there for a crucial election. When I left, the line was much longer than when I started, so those at the end of that line were looking at a six-hour wait.
Perhaps we can manage to scan a replacement for Ms. (Sharon) Harrington.
