For Boston Red Sox fans already salivating for their first baseball fix of 2013, there are now some dates to focus on.

The club released its Spring Training schedule last week and the Sox open with a single-admission doubleheader on Feb. 21 against college opponents Northeastern University and Boston College. The first game starts at 1:35 p.m. at JetBlue Park.

Manager John Farrell's team will face a Grapefruit League opponent for the first time on Saturday, Feb. 23, with a home game against the Tampa Bay Rays.

There are two rivalry matchups during the Grapefruit League. The Yankees visit Fort Myers on March 3 and the Red Sox travel to Tampa to face the Bronx Bombers on March 20.

The Red Sox will bust out their green St. Patrick's Day uniforms for a home game with the Rays on March 17 and with the third World Baseball Classic again this spring, the Sox will host Puerto Rico at 7:05 p.m. on March 5. Tickets for that game will be half price.

The Sox play 20 games at state-of-the-art JetBlue Park, which is entering its second season. In all, Boston plays 38 exhibition games.

Tickets for Spring Training home games will be available on www.redsox.com on Saturday, Dec. 8, at 10 a.m. Tickets remain at 2012 prices and can also be purchased at the JetBlue Park box office, online, or by phone at 888-REDSOX6.

Boston's first pitchers and catchers workout is Feb. 12 with the first full-squad workout on Feb. 15. All workouts are open to the public and free of charge.
