Sanibel Babe Ruth League Inc. is hosting its annual three-day youth Holiday Skills Camp on Dec. 26-28 at the Sanibel School fields.
Highly-qualified professional, college and high school players and coaches lead the camp. youth are instructed in baseball and softball drills, skills and techniques for the coming season.
Last year, the one-day Double Play Holiday Skills Camp featured University of Alabama's assistant coach Bobby Barbier and his father, long-time coach Darin Barbier. Because of the success with residents and visitors, this year's camp runs three days for players ages 6-12 focusing on hitting, defense, pitching, catching, base running and strategy.
The success of those attending last year's Sanibel Babe Ruth League baseball camp extended this year's Holiday Skills Camp to three days for ages 6-12.

League president Chuck Phoenix said, "The camp is a great opportunity to get parents playing with their kids. They will learn proper techniques to use at home."
The registration fee is $100 for all three days or $50.00 per day. The registration fee for coaches is $10, but waived if their children enroll in the skills camp. The camp runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day.
