The Minnesota Twins and Boston Red Sox pitchers and catchers reported to their respective Spring Training camps in Fort Myers on Tuesday, Feb. 12, signaling the start of another Major League Baseball season.
The balance of the squads reported Friday with the first full-squad workouts on Saturday at JetBlue Park and the Lee County Sports Complex. All workouts are open to the public and free of charge.
The first of 19 Spring Training games at Hammond Stadium is scheduled at 1:05 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 24, when the Twins take on the Tampa Bay Rays. The Twins make their spring debut on the road one day earlier at the Baltimore Orioles' camp.
The first game for the Red Sox is a single-admission doubleheader on Thursday, Feb. 21, against college opponents from Northeastern University and Boston College. The first game starts at 1:35 p.m. at JetBlue.
The Twins and Red Sox face each other on the field for eight Grapefruit League games.
The Red Sox will break out their green St. Patrick's Day uniforms for a game against the Tampa Bay Rays on March 17 at JetBlue Park.
