Juan Carlos Mejia peacefully passed away on July 20, 2013, in Denver Colo. He was born in La Lima Cortes, Honduras, on June 16, 1965. He is the son of Rolando Mejia of Honduras and the late Maria Soledad Juarez.

Juan Carlos immigrated to the United States in 1989 and soon found a career in Miami, Fla., in the restaurant business. His gift of quick learning and his desire of accomplishment served him well in raising his growing family. They relocated to the Fort Myers area where Juan made a career change to the construction trade. Here he was felled by a tragic accident that rendered him paralyzed. The outpouring of kindness and concern from this Southwest Florida community will never be forgotten by his family.

For medical reasons the family relocated to Denver where Juan Carlos spent his final years, but not before realizing one of his dreams: watching his eldest daughter Anny graduate the University of Colorado just two months ago.

Survivors include his devoted wife Jeanette, loving and caring daughters Anny, Katie and Malenie. Brother Rolando and sisters, Marisol, Patricia and Griesell.

He is interred at the St. Simeon Cemetery in Aurora, Colo. In his memory contributions may be made to the Craig Hospital Foundation,3425 South Clarkson Street, Englewood, CO 80113.
