Recently, RE/MAX of the Islands announced that Robin Roberts joined their firm as a sales associate. She is originally from Bloomington, Ind. Her mother and father, Sam and Valerie Roberts, have been married for 37 years and Roberts is the middle of their seven children.

Roberts graduated from Bloomington High School South in 2001. She continued her education at Lake Sumter Community College where she enhanced her knowledge of professional photography and acquired an interest in sales and marketing. Roberts first visited Sanibel as a toddler while on family vacations. Like many who vacation here, her parents fell in love with the island and in 2009 they purchased their island dream home.

"I also fell in love with Sanibel over the years my family and I vacationed here. Shortly after mom and dad bought the house they gave me the opportunity to move here and I jumped at it! They asked me to look after the house since for now they still only use it for vacations. I've always been interested in real estate, especially the local island market. Last year I made the decision to pursue that interest by becoming a Realtor and making it my profession. I passed the required educational courses and state exam. Since then I've been researching opportunities with various real estate companies. RE/MAX of the Islands came highly recommended so I was thrilled when offered the opportunity to become affiliated with their company," said Roberts.

Broker and owner of RE/MAX of the Islands, Art Corace, said, "We are also very happy to have Robin become a member of our 'real estate family.' She has acquired many friends and business contacts in the four years she has lived here. Those that know her best tell me she is a 'people person' that gets tremendous satisfaction from helping others. And those are two of the biggest attributes required to be a success in our business. We believe she has a very promising future".

Roberts enjoys the island lifestyle. She is an avid golfer and tries to attend as many PGA events as possible. Among other things she also enjoys scuba diving/snorkeling, shelling, birding, kayaking, tending to her salt water aquarium and two cats, Toulouse and Rocco, and Bonnie, her "very interesting" Tarantula!
